General Rules of ChitChatCenter.com, Must be followed.
Following are the rules and regulation that will be applied on the ChitChatCenter.com. Please take your time to read these because these must be followed, and by knowing these can prevent much confusion. Similarly each section has its rules and regulation.
  1. Official language on the ChitChatCenter is English.
  2. Topic post outside the scope of a particular forum can be moved, locked or simply be deleted without any notice.
  3. Be nice to each other and respect the ChitChatCenter Staff (Mods, Admins, Helpers). Offense and Insult will not be tolerated. If you have any confusion with any member, please contact to respective moderators. If they cannot help, then send a private message to Admin.
  4. Do not spams, No cross posting, No blatant advertising, No selling or trading are allowed on ChitChatCenter, as we do not like these activities.
  5. Don't use big pictures in your signature/Avatar. Avatar size limit=120x120 pixels, file-size < 65 kb. Signature size limit=600x120 pixels (120 pixels ~ 8 lines of text) and less than 65kb file-size.
  6. Do not post serial or keys. You can post a link to a text-file that contains it.
  7. Always be nice in religious or political discussion and respect each individual and his/her religion.
  8. Don't post just to increase your number of posts. The number of posts on this board has no direct relation to the experience of a member.
  9. RESPECT PEOPLES PRIVACY: Don't ever posts anything that can identify a person in the real world. That would be addresses, phone numbers, IP-addresses, etc. (YES the almighty ******s can dig you up by the use of a <=12 digit numbers). Post identifiable user data, and so shall we, by sending logs to the respectful government(s)!
  10. FORUM ADMINS ALWAYS HAVE THE FINAL WORD: In case any doubt arises, forum ADMINS are always the ones with the final word. This rule applies to the whole forum, even the smallest ones. In case a user feels misjudged by a moderator, another user, or whatever we have, the admins will decide what to do with the matter.
Send a Private message to Admin explaining what happened, and someone will look into it.
  11. We don't want trouble at ChitChatCenter and its host, so please find your sources for pictures and descriptions elsewhere - don’t snatch it from the creator/producers website.
It has been common to post images - this will of course still be allowed, just find your links on review sites etc.
  12. DELETED OR EDITED THREADS: Threads that break the rules might be edited or deleted without any notice. If the breaking of the rule is severe enough (spamming a lot, direct linking) you could be banned instantly. If your post "disappears" do not post it again, do not ask why it was deleted or moved; just assume it was breaking a rule. If you are unsure about it, ask a mod in the forum what happened.
  13. HAVE A GOOD TIME: probably the most important rule of them all. Enjoy your stay, behave nicely, and help the ones who need it - we do not like leechers. Neither do we like people who are using upload hacks. Help people if you can, that’s the reason we all are here.

Newbie’s
  • Read the Forum Rules. Cool
  • Read the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), before asking a question.
  • Read the Sticky’s / Announcements of the section before posting.
  • Do some searching before asking a question.
  • Respect the netiquette: Lurk and get to know the forum before you post.

Additional rules for the general sections (new)
  1. The general sections (Introduction, Help and ChitChatCenter.com) are where people meet to discuss forum matters, movies , music and trivia. They have played an important part in building the ChitChatCenter community and will continue to do so. In contrast to the other sections there are no specific guidelines for the general sections, which mean you can post pretty much anything you like. Occasionally a user (mis)interprets this freedom as a right to start flaming or insulting other users.
    This is not acceptable behavior.
  2. Sanctions
Until now, the only thing the moderators could do in the event of users behaving unacceptably was to edit/lock threads (which don’t really solve the problem) or ban the user (which we don't like to do).

To fill this gap a warning system is now introduced. It works like this: If a user misbehaves, he/she gets a warning. After three warnings, the user is restricted from posting in the general sections for a month. He/she can still read the section. We believe in second chances, so after the 1-month period, the user start with a clean sheet. Furthermore, warnings expire after a month.

Q: So what kind of behavior is considered 'bad'?
A: scroll to the top: Rules 4, 5, 7, 11.

Q: How do u know if a user has been warned or temporarily restricted from posting?
A: You don't. We respect the user's privacy, so only the moderators will have this information. All communication about the warning system will be resolved by PM.

Q: How about banning?
A: We hope this will not be necessary with the new system. However, if a user continues to break forum rules, he/she will be banned and you will be informed about it.

Releases / Sharing
  • Only post releases in the appropriate sections. Don't post for an example a release in a request thread, only the link to the release thread.
  • This forum is organized in a way that it doesn't need [REL] or [REQ] anywhere, so don't use them.
  • Please include always the relevant file-sharing links and don't just link to other sites.

Thanks for you co-operation.

Regards,
CCC Staff
